Verbal Test with Interpreter Requirements 

The test is offered in a variety of languages.

 No appointment needed to take the computer-based test for the languages listed below:

• Arabic
• Chinese
• English
• French
• Haitian Creole
• Portuguese
• Spanish
• Russian
• Vietnamese

For all other languages not listed above, please see instructions below:

1. Verbal tests with an interpreter require an appointment
   
   1. Appointment must be in CUSTOMER'S name with the CUSTOMER'S contact info
   2. Customer must be a Pinellas County Resident
      1. Bring photo ID and proof of Pinellas County residency to your appointment
2. Foreign language interpreter must accompany the customer, one is not provided for you. Please see the requirements below
   
   1. Interpreter must be at least 18 years old
   2. The Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicle's preference is that the interpreter is NOT a relative
   3. Commercial driving school instructors CANNOT serve as an interpreter

**If these requirements are not met, the appointment may be rescheduled at the discretion of our office
