PINELLAS COUNTY, FL – This October, local tax collector offices are partnering with Largo non-profit, Family Support Services, to raise funds and collect non-perishable Thanksgiving food items for Pinellas families in need. Employees and citizens are invited to join by donating items from a holiday list.
Family Support Services (FSS) is the leading child welfare agency in Pinellas and Pasco. Their community work improves family situations, provides safe homes for abused and/or neglected children and teens through foster care, and finds forever families for children through adoption.
“The holidays are a time to celebrate, spend time with loved ones, and enjoy great food,” Tax Collector Adam Ross said. “Unfortunately, there are those in our community without the means to celebrate, and we hope that our work with this food drive can change that.”
