Tax Collector Offices Open Post Storm – Will Honor Cancelled Appointments – Fees Waived & Payment Deadline Extended

PINELLAS COUNTY, FL – As of Monday, October 3, 2022, all Pinellas County Tax Collector Offices have reopened for normal business operations. Offices were closed last week due to Hurricane Ian.

Any appointments from last week’s office closures (Tuesday, September 27th through Friday, September 30th) will be honored through this Friday, October 7th. All canceled appointments from last week were documented so customers are encouraged to bring their appointment confirmation to have their appointment honored this week. Appointments can be easily viewed, rescheduled, or canceled online at pinellastaxcollector.gov/appointments. Customers may experience longer than normal wait times due to these accommodations.

Additionally, the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (FLHSMV) has waived late fees for the following:

  • Duplicate or replacement vessel registration, and title certificates
  • Vehicle license plates, validation stickers, vehicle registration, and title certificates
  • Handicapped parking permits
  • Replacement driver licenses and identification cards
  • Additional fees for the late renewal of or application for such licenses, certificates, and documents

The emergency order to waive these fees expires on midnight of October 23, 2022.

For property tax customers on the 2022 installment payment plan, the Department of Revenue has released an emergency order to extend the September installment payment deadline for real estate and tangible tax. Originally scheduled for Friday, September 30th, the new payment deadline is Friday, October 14th. Customers paying property taxes only do not need an appointment.
