Pinellas County Tax Collector Sworn in to Office

PINELLAS COUNTY, FL – Pinellas County Tax Collector Charles W. Thomas was sworn in during a ceremony yesterday, Tuesday, January 5, 2021.  The event was held on the second floor of the North County branch office located at 29399 US Highway 19 North in Clearwater. COVID-19 safety measures were taken with all attending wearing masks and social distancing.

Thomas took the oath of office during the ceremony to mark the beginning of his second term.

The Tax Collector’s office has five locations throughout Pinellas County, providing vital services for its residents, primarily relating to driver licenses, motor vehicles, and property taxes.  The tax collector is elected every four years as established by the Florida Constitution.  For more information about the various services provided, visit www.pinellastaxcollector.gov.
