Pinellas Tax Collector Announces Office Closure for Hurricane Ian

Certain Fees may be Waived for Impacted Residents

All Pinellas County Tax Collector’s Offices will be closed on September 27th, 28th, 29th, and 30th due to Hurricane Ian. The tentative plan is to reopen on Monday, October 3rd. An update will be provided once a decision is made.

Services will be unavailable during these office closures. When offices reopen, certain fees may be waived for residents impacted by the storm. For example, if your driver license or tag expires during this closure, the tax collector's office will not charge a delinquent fee.

Any appointments scheduled for the office closure dates will be honored until Friday, October 7th.  The offices have documented all appointments that were canceled. Please have your appointment confirmation with you. Rescheduling your appointment is encouraged but not necessary. Customers may experience longer than normal wait times due to these accommodations.  You can view and reschedule appointments on our website, pinellastaxcollector.gov/appointments.

The Pinellas County Tax Collector continues to closely monitor the status of Hurricane Ian. We are in close contact with PC Emergency Management to stay updated regarding the status of the storm and any impact it may have on our county. Updates will be shared on our website, pinellastaxcollector.gov, and social media including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram - @PinellasTC.
